Prime Day 2022 is here! Here are the tips to make your Prime Day worth it and stress free.
1). Think about what you actually need/want/will use
I am a recovering impulse shopper since moving into a place I actually own and will be living in for many years. Prime Day has a lot of deals and it’s easy to just buy what looks like a deal, but really think about what you need, want, or will actually use so you know what to look for.
2). Create a budget and stick to it
Again, I cannot stress this enough, make sure you have a budget and stick to it. The average shopper spends $388 on Prime Day, do you have that money to spend on that fancy vacuum that is on deal or should you save it? Because of the current economy there might be a better deal on electronics during late back to school deals or at the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Trust me, stick to a budget, you will be happy you did.
3.) Make sure to ‘watch’ deals and turn on your notifications on your Amazon app.
Once you have your Prime Day shopping list and budget, to the main Prime Day page and click ‘watch’ on the deals you want the most. Then in your mobile app, make sure your notifications are turned on so you do not miss them. Most deals are gone once they sell out, if you want something make sure to check out ASAP once you get the notification for the deal.
4). Looking for another way to save – choose a later delviery date
Want extra savings? At checkout select a later ship date to earn credits on digital books or movies. This is a great way to limit the number of packages your receive. I’ve purchase the whole John Wick series by using the digital rewards credit.
5). Use Prime Try Before You Buy
Lastly, don’t want to deal with returing clothese in-person? Use Prime Try Before You Buy. You will be able to receive up to 6 clothing items and you can return what you do not want all together after 7 days. This is a great option if you do not wat to have smaller charges on your card and stay within your shopping buget.
